Is Love is Blind-UK a little less dramatic than expected?

Love is Blink- UK (season 1) is a reality dating show which airs on Netflix. The finale aired on 21st August and turned out to be just... fine.

There wasn't any big of a twist. The viewers' assumptions pretty much turned out to be right. Let's look at the couples.

1. Demi and Ollie

Yep, it was a 'NO' from Demi and did we see that coming? Umm.. yeah! Ollie had dated 2 people in the pods Cat and Demi. Cat had broken up with him because she wanted Ollie to focus on one person moreover Cat was also dating Freddie and wanted to focus on him instead. As she went on to be with Freddie, Ollie pursued Demi, he proposed she said 'yes', they met, they liked each other, yada yada yada, but! things weren't as good as the other couples. They didn't have what the others had. Ollie was a little aback. he wasn't giving the validation and assurance that Demi needed, which Jasmine had pointed out earlier but, he just walked away as he didn't want to answer those questions. Things in Greece turned out to be sour. Once they started to live together in the apartment, there was some hope because Ollie was feeling more comfortable. What I could see was that Demi kinda had to baby him, which he might have liked because all men do like that, and it's no wonder he said 'yes' at the altar. Demi on the other hand didn't like it. Ollie might be all big and nice but he was a baby. Demi wanted fun and love, and a guy who would be 100% into her.

2. Bobby and Jasmine

Bobby... I mean I love that guy. Jasmine had tested him a lot but my man just communicated things so well. Jasmine's mom wanted Jasmine to say 'No', because of doubts in the experiment whether like Bobby's job was good enough to afford a life in London, and to get married in such a short period and such. But, Jasmine was stern in her decision and they're both married now. It was great to watch 'em both love birds and Jasmine is no easy girl.

3. Maria and Tom

Yep, it was a 'No' from Tom. Yeah, maybe the viewers wouldn't have seen it coming in the beginning because in Greece they were vibing so good. Both were humorous and physically attractive, but once they came into the real world things started to crumble. Maria a Muslim, was deeply rooted in her culture and found it weird when Tom asked Maria to pay for their ice cream date! Why? It's because in their system, men are seen as the providers and breadwinners, and asking Maria to pay was the opposite of that belief. Whereas, Tom disagreed. If they had kids together, he wanted his daughter to pay for herself and be independent. What was funny was that on the day of the wedding, Maria's mom who is a really old woman gave Tom her blessings and gave him the right to call her 'Mom'. But for Tom, it's a powerful word and to him 'Mom' is his own mother and he wouldn't share that title with anyone. Which I totally agree with.

4. Nicole and Benaiah

Ooh! the interesting one. I think this was the only drama that we got. Nicole had chosen Sam and not Benaiah as she dated them both. Sam had ill intentions which Benaiah had pointed out to Nicole yet, she went on to date Sam and accepted his proposal instead. Sam was concerned about her weight when she said that he might not be able to carry her.

And when they met each other! Hilarious! we could read their faces like out of the book that they both did not expect their fiance to look like that. Things just weren't right when they both met. It was super awkward. Nicole instantly regretted her decision, she didn't even look at him when the doors closed and she got the ring on the wrong finger which they both had failed to notice. When all the other couples had gone to Greece already, Nicole was meeting with Benaiah and she told him how her decision was wrong and assured Benaiah to not feel like he was a second choice. Benaiah was over the moon to have met with Nicole and though they looked the opposite, they felt right. Their trip to Greece though late, their love was on par with the others. They both said 'yes' and they got married too.

5. Cat and Freddie

I just hate this one. I hate Freddie's sister more. Cat is an adopted child and she doesn't take rejection very well. It was her biggest fear to be left alone at the altar and that's exactly what had happened. Cat has issues, yes, she is adopted and it does make your childhood more different than normal. Things were all good until she asked Freddie if he had ever cheated in his life, to which he said 'yes'. From then on, Cat and Freddie had tension between them. Cat had it always at the back of her mind. She kept saying that 'once a cheater always a cheater'. Freddie found it hard, to tell the truth to Cat, but he did assure that he would never do it again and that it was a long time ago. Later they got over it, as Freddie gave her confidence. But when they started to live together, there were conversations like he would get his prenup done before the wedding where all his assets would go to his sister and ask Cat if it was ok, like as if she was a gold digger. Also, he kept saying that she likes to go out and have fun but I'm more indoorsy to which Cat said that 'it's not always that she would want to go out'.

Freddie's sister is the one to watch out for. She kept saying things like 'Is she good enough for you? You both are on different pages...' and things like that. Freddie also wanted his assets to go to his sister and not his wife?! Something fishy. I am sure that Freddie's sister's opinions had an impact on his decision and he is never going to get married.

6. Sabrina and Steven

Photo: Netflix

Last but my favorite couple. These two are just the definition of a power couple. They're both so in love and they want to grow together, they speak the same things they just make each other better. Two good, kind people when they come together, there's fireworks. Yes, they are married.

All in all, I just can't wait for the reunion episode and see which couple that hadn't gotten married but are dating!

Update: Sabrina and Steven were separated at the reunion, I know, shocking! The long distance did not work out and Sabrina alleged that Steven did not give her attention when she would travel to meet with him in London. Steven did not show up for Christmas at Sabrina's place where her family expected him, which made Sabrina look bad.

What I think of- 'Ocean's 8' The Movie

What I think of- 'Ocean's 8' the movie Ocean's 8 is one of those movies which becomes a box office hit because of the casting of well known renowned actors. The movie involves the stealing of a jewelry as the trailer reveals. The concoction of Sandra Bullock, Sarah Paulson, Anne Hathaway and Rihanna just makes us jump out of our homes and go watch the movie no matter what! What I like in the movie Ocean's 8? I liked it that it was thrilling to watch though the plot was revealed in the trailer and the casts talking about it in various talk shows. The cast was perfect and there seems to be a lot of fun and suspense in the end too. It portrays women power and the movie gave a ''mission impossible'' feel. Basically, the cast is the best part of the movie.  What I dislike in the movie Ocean's 8? There are 3 things I disliked- 1) I did not like the plot so much. It was just another regular crime movie plot made best

Tripping with a 9-month-old

So my husband & I are out of our minds. We have decided to go on a trip to Kodaikanal (hills in Tamilnadu, India) this weekend. Why Kodaikanal? cuz Manjummel Boys of course (an Indian film associated with the place which became a big hit pan India). Planning the trip was pretty intense for me because the last thing I want to do is to go on a trip. I am a working mom and it's only the weekends that I get to rest a little. A trip is to relax, but it would mean the opposite with a baby. I do not want to be lifting weights the whole time if you know what I mean (it's my cutie lil baby). My baby is still dependent on me, he's 9 months now, crawling and standing with support, but not yet walking. Sure, my husband takes care of him when I INSIST, but he's no use let's be real here. My husband needs a prompt from me to do things which is not too bad, I guess (crying in silence). Anyway, he's been doing the big things for me like packing my things, shopping for the t
